Some trips are just trips. Others reset the way you think about the world. This list is the second kind — 30 experiences that keep showing up on our own "before we get old" list, plus notes on when to actually book them and how to fit them into a normal life.
We've grouped them by continent so you can plan a hemisphere at a time. Each entry has a best time to go and one honest note on what it takes.
